Darrell James Bender, 57 of Fort Smith passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014. He was born April 21, 1957 in Fort Smith to the late James and Christel Bender. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a self-employed Machinist. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his half-brother Jack Rogers.
Graveside services will be 2:30 PM Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM Tuesday at Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith.
Darrell is survived by his daughter Ashley Stanfield of Niceville, FL, his son Jordan Bender also of Niceville, FL, his sister Darlene Jones and her husband Preston of Wynne, AR, his sister-in-law Bea Rogers of Oklahoma City, three grandchildren; Hunter Stanfield, Lyndsay Stanfield, and Symone Bender, and his niece, Denise Rogers of Oklahoma City.
Pallbearers will be David Bender, Shannon Bradney, Doug Bender, and Gene Bender.
