He was a member of The Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Barling, AR. and a former employee of Geels Lumber Co.He was preceded in death by his brother Jerry D. Geels and nephew Michael Allen Geels. He is survived by his daughter, Erika Jones of Greenwood, AR., his parents, Jerome "Jay" and Lois Geels of Fort Smith, AR., two brothers, David W. Geels of Fort Smith, AR. and Ronald J. Geels of Springfield, MO. and two grandchildren Addisyn and Nikaylah Jones. Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR. and following the rosary the family will visit with family and friends. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at The Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Barling, AR. with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR.Pallbearers will be Scott Harvell, Ron Shaw, Jim Geels, Fred Hyman, Bobby Tom Needham and Brad Williams. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR.
