Obituary of John Philip Vozel

 PLAY TRIBUTE MOVIE

John Philip Vozel of Fort Smith, Arkansas left this life on September 23. He was born in Fort Smith Arkansas on January 9, 1955. John was a lover of nature and enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being outside. He spent six years serving his country in the U. S. Army, after which he started his career in the automotive repair and body repair industry. The last 14 years he worked as a salesperson for Body Shop Supply with professionals whom he considered part of family. His customers were his friends and he always had fortune cookies to share with their furry friends as they greeted him at his truck. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Florentine Didier Vozel, and a brother William Donald Vozel; his paternal grandparents, Phillip and Mary Vozel, and maternal grandparents, Peter John and Florentine Didier. He was survived by his wife of 36 years, Cindy Vozel. Two sisters, JoAnn (Ron) Walters of St. Louis, Missouri and Mary Jacqueline (Rich) Krutsch of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and his best friend and the brother he never had Ted Weir. Two nieces, Lora Houck and Nancy Walters. Three nephews, John Walters, Phillip Krutsch and Michael Krutsch. Four great-nieces, Madelein, Emma and Olivia Houck and Caroline Walters. Three great-nephews, Garrett Houck, Ted and James Walters. Two Aunts, Nancy Ray and Betty Didier. John was also survived by a host of cousins and many friends. John’s visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Friday, September 25, 2015 at Fentress Mortuary. John’s Memorial service will be 3:00 PM Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House, 3324 South M Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72903.
